6.0 MW Biomass based cogeneration power plant of Rama Paper Mills Limited

Description: The Rama Paper Mills biomass cogeneration project involves the installation of a 6 MW biomass power plant at Rama Paper Mills. The project reduces carbon emissions by displacing coal-fired electricity imported from the Uttar Pradesh state grid. The new 6 MW biomass cogeneration power plant generates electricity and steam to meet the company’s captive electricity requirement, thereby displacing an equivalent amount of electricity generated from fossil fuels. The biomass plant uses rice husks and bagasse as its primary sources of fuel, both of which are readily available in the surrounding area.
