Changyuan 24 MW WHR
Description: The proposed project is to recover and utilize waste heat, contained in the flue gases that are not burnable, from eight groups of coking ovens for electricity generation. The electricity generated will be sold to the North China Power Grid through the Shanxi Provincial Power Grid. The proposed project is expected to achieve greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction by avoiding CO2 emissions from electricity generation in grid-connected fossil fuel power plants, which presently are dominated and supply the North China Power Grid. The yearly estimated emission reductions amount to 135,992 tCO2e.
