Forest-Saving Stoves in Central America

Build more than 20,000 fuel-efficient stoves in Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Guatemala, and distribute them in conjunction with local partners. The stoves use up to 70% less wood than traditional open fire stoves. From 2003 the stoves were also introduced in Mexico, Brazil, and Bolivia, and in Haiti from 2007. More about this project...
