Fuel Switching Project in São Paulo state (Lara Ceramic)

Description: Lara ceramic facility is a small business located in Cachoeira Paulista, that produce red ceramic bricks and tiles for the construction market. To pursue a more sustainable form of business, Lara ceramic facility ceased the use of the heavy oil that negatively impacted the environment, especially the surrounding Atlantic Forrest and Cerrado biomes and switched to renewable biomass fuels, such as rice husks, sawdust, wood residues and wood chips.
