Fuel wood saving with improved cook stoves in Cambodia

Description: This project uses an improved cookstove- the New Lao Stove (NLS)- which reduces both household fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Close to 90% of the Cambodian population depend daily on fuel-wood for cooking purposes. As a consequence, forest resources have become seriously threatened. The New Lao Stove saves 22% of wood and charcoal compared to traditional stoves. This increased efficiency provides both monetary and health benefits for users.
