General Starch Wastewater Treatment

Description: To prevent methane from escaping into the atmosphere this starch plant installed an anaerobic wastewater treatment facility. The organic wastewater is treated in reactors, and the methane extracted. The captured methane, or biogas, is converted into heat for on-site usage at the starch plant thus replacing the use of heavy fuel oil.
