Joseph Gallo Farms Anaerobic Digester
Generate renewable energy by processing cow manure and other wastes through a sophisticated methane digester system, which allows the Farm to power its operations from its own waste. A 7-acre covered anaerobic lagoon is used to generate and collect biogas from the manure. The gas is then scrubbed and piped to two power generators, which produce electricity for the Joseph Farms Cheese Plant.
