Renun Hydro Power Plant

Description: The project has 2 x 41 MW capacity that is generating electricity from Lau Renun River and other 11 small rivers in North Sumatra, Indonesia and sending the generated electricity to Sumatra Grid, replacing electricity from fossil fuel based power plants connected to the Sumatra Grid, therefore reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The project is a run-off-river system that consists of water weir and intake, settling tank, penstock, and a powerhouse.
