SD BioSupply WWT

Description: The proposed project was implemented at SD Starch Co. Ltd. in 2005. The starch plant has a total production capacity of 300 tonnes of native starch per day, generating an average of 3,000 m3 of wastewater every production day. The proposed project activity will install an anaerobic wastewater treatment facility, based on Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) technology, at the existing starch manufacturing plant. The present wastewater treatment facility is a lagoon-based ponding system. The quality of the treated water, if discharged into the water bodies, should be as per the effluent standards regulated by the authority.
