Wanzhou Cement WHR 13.5 MW

Description: This Gold Standard Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project aims to utilize waste heat -which would have been emitted to the atmosphere in absence of the project from two cement production lines located in Wanzhou, China, for power generation. During the process of cement manufacturing and industrial solid waste processing, a large amount of waste heat is emitted into the atmosphere. The portion of directly emitted heat accounts for over 35% of the total heat consumed by the cement production process and solid waste processing system.
