Yichang Yihua Waste Heat Recovery and Utilization project
Description: The purpose of the project activity is to recover the waste heat
from the sulphuric acid production line of Yihua Dajiang Compound Fertilizer Co., Ltd. to provide heat
and power.
The project activity involves installation of HRS system (Heat Recovery System), and co-generation system with the rated output of 12MW, with the expected 8000 operating hours per year. The heat, recovered from the sulphuric acid line in the form of steam, will be delivered to co-generation units to provide power and steam. The electricity is supplied to Sodium Hydroxide (SH) plants in Yihua Chemical Industry Stock Company and the heat is fed to Phosphoric Acid (PA) plants in Yihua Dajiang Compound Fertilizer Co. Ltd.
The implementation of the project activity will produce 1768.64TJ heat and 81400MWh power supply per year, net quantity of electricity supplied to SH plants after minus auxiliary consumption of the project activity, resulting in estimated emission reductions of 195,034tCO2e.
